PARK by Balabala Foshan Flagship Store
Reimagining Heritage through Playful Innovation

Nestled within a Republican-era Lingnan architectural complex in Foshan—a quintessential cultural tourism destination and epitome of traditional Lingnan culture—this project redefines historical preservation through commercial revitalization. Responding to urban regeneration imperatives, the designers seamlessly integrated commercial operation strategies into their vision, birthing the groundbreaking "PARK by Balabala" concept.

Anchored in family-centric consumption and experiential needs, the space evolves into an imaginative "urban wonderland." Guided by a "gamified scenario engine" philosophy, the design reconstructs traditional commercial spaces through three innovative dimensions:

  1. Dynamic Circulation – Replacing static pathways with an experience-oriented core axis

  2. Hybrid Zones – Radiating dual experiential realms blending play and commerce

  3. Multi-sensory Layers – Curating immersive spatial narratives through tactile, visual, and interactive elements

The layout dissolves conventional retail boundaries, organizing integrated experiential spaces and novel commercial formats around its pulsating experiential spine. This visionary approach pioneers a new paradigm of urban family lifestyle, where cultural heritage dialogues with contemporary design through kinetic exploration and joyful discovery.
